All donations made between the 30th November and 7th December will be doubled.
Last year, thanks to your donations we were able to raise £14,000 to help girls stay in education. So, we are once again taking part in The Big Give Christmas Campaign!
We are aiming to raise £12,800 to help build new homes for single mothers. The new homes will relieve the burden of rent and enable families to invest in their futures. As with last year, every donation you make will be doubled. Therefore, if we can raise £6,400, an extra £6,400 will be matched by our pledgers and Ethiopiaid.
The campaign will be live from the 30th November until midday on the 7th December. We only have one week to reach our target and all donations must be made online to our Big Give page in order to be doubled.
What is the Campaign for?
We are building a safe, supportive community compound for women and their children.
The project will mean that:
- Single mothers and their children will live in a community of other women with a safe and pleasant place to call home;
- Owning their own homes will free up income so they can invest it back into their businesses, their families and their future;
- Facilities such as running water and electricity will increase their business opportunities, as well as improving health through sanitation, and reducing risk for girls fetching water.
