We are really pleased to showcase the health and hygiene training taking place as part of our of Sponsorship Clubs initiative. The training was held for students from a number of schools at Tsadiku Yohannes Elementary School, with the aim of equipping sponsored students with the tools and knowhow to successfully lead a healthy and hygienic lifestyle.
At the end of the two day session each student received a certificate and a package including soap, toothpaste and toothbrushes to help kick start their new hygiene routine!
The sponsorship clubs are an essential tool for our sponsorship program; they provide crucial support to children and young adults and help foster our very ‘child-focused’ approach. By providing tailored support – including extra school tuition, specific training and counselling, and a safe space to discuss issues with one another – we will aid students while they engage with and succeed in education.
This dynamic and flexible support is embedded and sustainable by encouraging student’s to take a lead in discussions, share their knowledge and learning with their peers and help them to grow and develop into productive and invested members of society.
