£11,040 raised for Delo School!
Our match funded Christmas Campaign this year ran from Tuesday 2nd to 9th December, raising more than £11,000.
The money raised will build safe, gender-separated toilets and handwashing stations at Delo Primary School in Ethiopia. The school currently has no functioning toilets, so our project will deliver health, dignity and better attendance for 563 children who currently lack decent sanitation.
Your generosity raised £5,520 in donations which was matched by our pledgers and Charity Champion Ethiopiaid.

Safe Sanitation, Equal Dignity for Delo Children
As well as improved accessibility and sanitation, we’ll provide menstrual hygiene materials and girls’ empowerment workshops to drive lasting impact.
Dawit, our project manager, told us:
“The existing toilet block, previously shared by girls, boys, and teachers, is now completely unusable due to structural failure that can’t be fixed, the pit is collapsing, and the metal sheet structure is damaged and insecure.”
Imagine: a child who has nowhere to go to the toilet or wash their hands at school. Your gift changes that.
We look forward to updating you about the project as it progresses!
