We often have vacancies for volunteers at our London office. Each year we aim to host students or those interested in a career in international development on a fulfilling internship in our office. We are particularly intersted in hearing from candidates from the Ethiopian diaspora.
“Interning at Together We Learn was a fantastic experience. Being part of such a dedicated and tight-knit team and feeling as though the work you are doing is vital and sustainable makes every work day fly by. I have learned so many useful and transferable skills in the short time I was able to spend with the team and the insight my internship gave me into working in the charity sector was invaluable.”

Communications Internship
Our Communications Internship is an opportunity to gain substantial experience in communications and international development while you study. Each year we host an intern to work with our small London-based team for a long-term internship to develop skills in social media management, production of online communications and supporter communications.
This internship is ideal for an undergraduate student who is looking to gain real experience in the third sector, particularly international development, children and education charities or on communications and fundraising.
The Opportunity
Online communication skills are in increasing demand in the third sector as more and more interaction with supporters moves to online modes such as social media, email and websites. This internship is a great opportunity to build your skills working in an international development charity while you study so that you can make strong applications with office experience upon graduation.
Together We Learn’s London office comprises a small, tight-knit and dedicated team. You will work closely with different members of the team, including the Chief Executive, Projects Manager and Fundraising Manager, who will support the development of your communications skills in a variety of areas.
We think internships should be mutually beneficial, and we expect to put in time and support to build up the skills of an enthusiastic and dedicated individual so that they are able make strong applications when they are later looking for employment in the sector. Therefore, you do not need to have experience working with charities, or on communications, to apply. If you have the enthusiasm, interest and motivation to learn as much as possible through this internship, we want to hear from you!
You can download the full details below and, if you are interested, please contact us with your CV and a message outlining your interest in the internship.
Other Opportunities
We occasionally have other volunteering opporunities in our London office throughout the year. If you are interested in volunteering in other areas, or you have a particular skill you think could support us with our work, please do get in touch.
